SKILL UP KOGI – Tech Company in Lokoja Provides Free Digital Skill Training for over 80 Kogi youths

A tech company in Lokoja, Startechone Nigeria Limited, recently facilitated Free Digital skill training for over 80 youths in Kogi state in her “SKILL UP KOGI 2.0” initiative following the previous session which was successfully completed in “SKILL UP KOGI 1.0” where over 70 participants benefited.

Participants were trained in high-demand digital skills like Data Analysis, Data Science, Graphic Design, Product Design(ui/ux), and Web Development at their academy in Lokoja.

The training was supported by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Informal and Vocational Education.

The organization has the core focus on youths acquiring digital skills that will not only profit them but also profit the entire state of Kogi.

The goal of this training is to develop the digital skill of youths in Kogi state so they will be able to get remote and onsite tech-related jobs for personal and household income generation and also build a strong tech community within the state that can attract investors.

With the model which StarTechOne has created, it ensures that the youths are inclusive in the tech space of which on the long run will make Kogi State be one of the leading tech driven states in Nigeria and the world at large.
