49 Yoruba Dialects and Their Geographical Location
The Yoruba language and its dialects are spoken by the Yoruba people, who make up more than 44 million people in Africa.
There are over a million Yoruba speakers outside the continent of Africa, and they bear further representation among members of the African diaspora community.
The majority of the Yoruba population is today within the country of Nigeria, where they make up 20% of the country’s estimated population, making them one of the largest and most concentrated ethnic groups in Africa.
