The 300 bed Space Kogi Reference Hospital, Okene

This reference hospital Okene, Kogi state is equipped with modern Medical instruments including the first hospital based Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) chamber in Nigeria. 

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a type of treatment used to speed up healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won’t heal, gangrene, and infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen.

With this development Kogi state, Nigeria becomes the fifth Country in the whole of Africa that can boast of such medical equipment. This will reduce the rate at which Nigerians travel abroad for such treatments.
