The Breathtaking Mount Patti Lokoja, One of Nigeria’s Most Visited Tourist Centres

Mount Patti, Lokoja, Kogi state is 1,349-foot above sea level, making it one the Highest points in Nigeria.
It is also one of the most visited Tourist attraction in Nigeria, with thousands of visitors every week.
It was the place from which Ms. Flora Shaw looked down and coined the name Nigeria.

The confluence of two of Africa’s greatest Rivers Niger and Benue can be clearly seen from the top of the mountain.

This is Lord Lugard’s rest house on top of the mountain during the colonial era of Nigeria.

Residents of Lokoja climbs mount Patti every Saturdays to socialize and for fitness purposes.
