Lecturers tasked to inculcate the teaching of moral in the lives of students
The Proprietress, Gloryland Institute of Management Studies Kilometer 6, Ankpa-Anyigba road Ankpa Kogi State; Hajia Vivian N. Idama gave the charge during this year’s annual meeting for both academic and non-academic staff union held recently at the school ultramodern library complex to mark official closing of the institution’s activities for the year 2021.
Hajia Idama who liken some students to be fingers which are never equal with others, therefore called on the lecturers to take few minutes of their allocated periods and address some key problems facing the students academically.
“Please, I am talking to our English lecturers precisely: you know some students are not academically groomed right from their various secondary schools owing to the decay in the standard of education that bedeviled the nation, and Kogi is not an exception.”I therefore, admonish you to do a thorough job so we could have an employable graduates in the end” she said.
Earlier in her her speech, the Mass Communication graduate thanked God and the staff for their indefatigable contributions which brought the school this far. She recalled that the institution started with only one office as they rotate seat not minding who is who, based on the robust relationship they have.
Noting that today the school boast of more offices and departments, despite coming up. She however prayed for more fruitful years with longevity and accident-free trip as yuletide season draw nearer.
Highlights of the occasion was the commendation and appreciation with some token for the job well done to the the Rector, Mr. Awodi Lawrence, Registrar of the school, Mr. Arome Otene, Dean Students Affairs, Mr. Shaibu Chide Oba as well as a security guard from the security unit of the campus.
However, members of the staff were given some packages for ease of festive celebration.
