Kogi State is a state located in the North central region of Nigeria. It is popularly known as the Confluence State because the confluence of River Niger and River Benue is located in Lokoja, the state capital. The state is bordered by the following states: Niger to the north, Anambra to the east, Edo to the west, Nassarawa to the northeast, Benue to the east and southeast, and Enugu to the southeast.
