AZAD Palace Okene – The Most Beautiful House in West Africa

The Azad Palace which is situated in Okene, Kogi state have been described as the most beautiful house in West Africa, and arguably the most magnificent Palace in the whole of Africa.

The Azad Palace belongs to the most revered monarch of Ebira land, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Dr Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim, who assumed office on June 1997 as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

If you’re wondering what is the meaning of “AZAD”, it is the name of Ohinoyi’s eldest son Prince AZAD ADO-IBRAHIM, who died some years ago.

The Ohinoyi Of Ebiraland, in honor of his beloved deceased son, named his palace after him.
